Innovative insect hotel is a hole in one

Giving packaging a second life is a fantastic way to reduce waste. In 2021 our Packaging Design and Technical Services teams helped to co-create a new golf ball package that, when empty, turns into an insect hotel. 

The design, for Finnish Golf Coat, was co-created together with a packaging design agency and packaging manufacturer and uses MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright folding boxboard. 

The design is an excellent example of how, through teamwork, we can improve packaging design and create something completely new.
