Metsä Board's Annual Review 2025 has been published

Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, has published its Annual Review 2025 as a pdf file in Finnish and English. The Annual Review includes the Financial Statements, the Report of the Board of Directors, the Corporate Governance Statement, and the Remuneration Report for the 1 January–31 December 2025 financial period.

The Financial Statements are published in accordance with the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) reporting requirements as an XHTML file in Finnish and English. The main statements and notes to the Consolidated Financial Statements are marked with XBRL tags. The audit firm KPMG Oy Ab has provided an independent limited assurance report on Metsä Board’s ESEF Financial Statements. The assurance engagement has been performed in accordance with the ISAE 3000 (Revised) assurance engagement standard.

The Sustainability statement is included in the Report of the Board of Directors. The Sustainability statement has been prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) referred to in Chapter 7 of the Accounting Act and Article 8 of the Taxonomy Regulation. The Sustainability statement has been assured by KPMG Oy Ab at the level of limited assurance. The assurance was performed in accordance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagement ISAE 3000 (Revised).

Metsä Board has published content indices in accordance with the requirements of the SASB Pulp & Paper Products industry standard, as well as the TCFD and TNFD recommendations, as separate pdf files on its website. TCFD and TNFD data are not subject to verification. SASB data are mainly based on Metsä Board's Sustainability statement, which is assured at the level of limited assurance.

The Annual Review and the Remuneration Report are attached to this release as pdf files. The ESEF Financial Statements are also available in the attached zip file. All the above reports and files are also available on Metsä Board's website at https://www.metsagroup.com/metsaboard/investors/.

Metsä Board publishes a separate Sustainability Review, which presents the key sustainability targets and achievements for 2025. The Sustainability Review will be published in March 2026.
