Innovative structure and functionality
In accordance with the instructions given by Fazer, the design of the sales display takes into account both product presentation and practicality. The display packs oat drink cartons on trays in multiple layers, and its structure allows easy access to the products for consumers. The display stand must withstand the maximum number of products, taking into account the maximum lifting weight limits. "When the display is tall and narrow, it is also easily unstable. This was solved by dividing the hood/base part into two parts and forming a lateral support from one part, making the display stable and easy to use," says packaging designer Kaisa Pietilä from Adara Pakkaus.
High-quality material and durability
The linerboard used in the display was carefully selected for its excellent printability and durability - also the display stand's fold lines remain neat. "The display remains nice and presentable in the store for a long time, and its durable surface makes assembly easy. This also reduces waste and ensures that the display withstands store conditions - it may be in use for a long time and has to endure moisture and bumps," adds Pietilä.
Visual appeal and brand reinforcement
The award-winning sales display helps Fazer in sales promotion by attracting consumers' attention with its visual appeal and high-quality material, and it enables the utilization of additional sales points in stores. Overall, high-quality material is an important part of growing and maintaining the brand's quality image.
Piia Tiainen, Senior Manager Packaging Development, states: "Fazer's goal, in accordance with PPWR, is to reduce the use of packaging materials in all packages where reduction is possible. This oat drink sales display is a great example of how one part of the display can be used for different purposes during its lifecycle without needing additional parts. Additionally, the display is designed to be of such a size that when the displays are stacked on a pallet, the pallet dimensions are optimally utilized. This solution saves both material, logistical costs, and emissions, as the shipment volume and weight are minimized, and storage space efficiency is high."
