Metsä Board will showcase its carbon reduction case studies at PackExpo, September 29 – October 1, in Las Vegas, and will also speak on the Sustainability Central Stage.

Sustainability Manager, Nathan Pajka, will be presenting, “A Supplier’s Role in Creating a Sustainable Value Chain, on the Sustainability Central Stage on Monday, September 29.

He will discuss:

  • The critical role suppliers play in building a sustainable value chain, from sourcing to consumer
  • The importance of committing to regenerative forestry practices
  • Advancements in energy-efficient, non-fossil-based production processes
  • Strategies for designing paperboard packaging for circularity
  • Efficient logistics practices
  • How partnerships with board suppliers, converters and printers drive positive change
  • How suppliers can directly support brands in meeting their ambitious sustainability targets, such as reducing Scope 3 emissions and ensuring that packaging is fully recyclable and/or compostable

On the exhibit floor, Metsä Board will welcome visitors to booth # SL-19014 where they will have an opportunity to engage directly with Metsä Board’s Sustainability and Technical experts who will be on hand to answer questions and offer insights on a wide range of topics, including carbon footprint calculations, life cycle assessments, plastic reduction, ease of recycling, responsible forestry practices, as well as the company’s comprehensive 360 Services offering.
