The winner of the Sustainability Award was the Herbal Essences’ Shampoo Conditioner bundle by Procter & Gamble. The sustainable sleeve holds the products together and creates an attractive new consumer communication platform, significantly improving shelf appearance, with the window cut-out on the front panel allowing the consumer to see the scent of the product inside. The cut-outs on the back allow easy reading of the ingredients list, which is important in case of intolerances or allergies. The packaging was manufactured by Van Genechten Packaging on MetsäBoard Classic FBB paperboard.
Ritual’s Summer of Joy giftbox was presented with a Platinum Award. The premium fresh fibre boards create enough strength for the package while the all-over fabric structure embossing, combined with the matt dispersion varnish, generates a natural touch and feel. Hot foil is used perfectly to highlight this personal gift. The sleeve and small boxes of the packaging were manufactured by Van Genechten Packaging on MetsäBoard Classic FBB paperboard.
The competition is organized by the European Association of Carton and Cartonboard manufacturers, Pro Carton, and the European Carton Markers Association ECMA.
