Anonymous recruitment at Metsä Group

Metsä Group is committed to developing a diverse, equal and inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in working life and be an equal member of the work community.

Anonymous recruitment is Metsä Group's main recruitment method. With it, we guarantee that everyone who applies for a job with us is on the same level, and that any unconscious bias has no influence on the selection of those invited to an interview. Watch the video to see what anonymous recruitment means for the applicant.

Promoting equality and diversity in recruitment

Equality and non-discrimination are important principles for us and an integral part of our ethical culture.

Anonymous recruitment is one concrete measure as part of a wider development program to promote diversity and equality. Anonymous recruitment is our primary recruitment method. Our aim is to strengthen fair treatment of applications based on skills and competences, equal treatment of applicants and diversity of personnel. We will indicate anonymous recruitments in the job advertisements.

In anonymous recruitment, we don't ask the applicant's gender and date of birth. Certain personal data is hidden, such as the applicant's name, contact information, native language, and any attachments. The application form has questions that help the candidate to highliaght their skills and strengths anonymously.

Recruiters will be given access to all the information and supporting documents before the first interview, once the candidates for interviews have been selected. Candidates who have not been invited for an interview will remain anonymous until the end of the process.
