Anonymous recruitment is our primary recruiting method. On this page, you can find questions and answers on the subject.

Why does Metsä Group recruit anonymously?

Metsä Group welcomes people from different backgrounds and in different life situations. We operate globally in more than thirty countries, and our employees represent more than fifty different nationalities.

Anonymous recruitment is Metsä Group's main recruitment method and our way to promote equal treatment of applicants. We want to be a leader in diversity and inclusion, and in promoting gender equality and equal opportunities.

The goal is to allow an increasingly diverse group of applicants to enter the interview stage and to select the most suitable person, regardless of their characteristics. This development is supported by anonymous recruitment, where each applicant is on the same line.

By using anonymous recruitment, we can avoid unconscious biases affecting the outcome of the recruitment.

What does anonymous recruitment mean to you as an applicant?

In anonymous recruitment, the applicants' personal data, such as name, age, gender and contact details, are masked until interview invitations.

Remember to fill your application carefully and bring your skills out! We will not be able to view your information on your CV or other attachments until we invite you to the interview.

The application form contains questions that will help you to highlight your skills, strengths and interest anonymously. Do not hesitate to share your competences in your own words and with concrete examples.

You will stand out by highlighting your competencies and motivation.
Anonymous recruitment is a guarantee that applications are also red carefully.

Does the completion of the application differ from regular recruitment?

Compared to conventional recruitment, in anonymous recruitment the application form contains more detailed questions, where you can introduce your skills and interest. All basic information, such as name and contact details, will also be asked, but they will remain hidden until you receive an invitation to the interview.

In anonymous recruitment, it is particularly important to complete the application form carefully and answer all the questions. Write your skills and strengths in your own words. Give examples of what you have done and where you have acquired the competence that is essential to the task.

In anonymous recruitment, you can also attach a CV to your application, but it will be visible to our recruiters only if you are decided to be invited to an interview.

    How is anonymous recruitment progressing?

All Metsä Group’s open jobs are published on our career website metsagroup.com/jobs. Information about the anonymity of the recruitment will appear in the job advertisement.

Based on the answers written on the application form, we select the most suitable candidates for an interview. At this stage, the CVs and all other information of the applicants will be visible to our recruiters. It will facilitate the interview's progress. Those applicants who have not been invited to an interview will remain anonymous until the end of the recruitment.

After the interviews, a few applicants are usually invited to a personal assessment carried out by our external partner. Finally, the terms and conditions of the employment will be agreed.

Then we start the onboarding and welcome the new employee to our work community!
