We are Finland’s largest producer of sawn timber and will soon grow even bigger. We are constructing the world’s most modern sawmill in Rauma, which will feature internationally unique technology. We manufacture sawn timber from northern softwood, and nearly 90 per cent of it is exported. The largest markets for Metsä’s sawn timber are found in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
Our sawn timber products are used in construction, carpentry, glue and thermal wood production, doors, windows and furniture, among other things.
