METSÄ SPRING | INNOVATION COMPANY

Unique business structure

The cooperative background and business structure make Metsä Group's story unique. The best interest of our owner members is to increase the value of their forests in the long term, and we secure this by effectively processing northern wood into products for sale on the world market.

Through our owner members, we are well positioned to guarantee sustainable and responsible wood procurement for the needs of our entire group and to take care of the sustainable growth of Finnish forests holistically. An active cooperative not only sets us apart from other players in the industry, but also creates a solid foundation for the long-term development of our business and production facilities.

The administrative bodies of parent company Metsäliitto Cooperative are the Representative Council, the Supervisory Board, the Board of Directors and the President and CEO. Metsä Group's Executive Management Team assists the President and CEO in business planning and operative management and prepares proposals to the Board of Directors.
