On this page, you can apply for jobs in Metsä Group’s business areas – Metsä Forest, Metsä Wood, Metsä Fibre, Metsä Board and Metsä Tissue – and Group Services.

To see more detailed information and to apply click the job title. Fill in the application form according to instructions. You can choose to apply with a CV file or with your LinkedIn profile. This will automatically fill in information from your CV to the application form. Verify the information and fill in the empty fields. Please notice that you will receive an email, confirming that your application has been sent, the next day with a title “Workday Inbox - Your Daily Digest”.

If you create a candidate account on our career site you will be able to utilize your application to other open jobs also.

Please notice that there is a maintenance break in our recruitment system on Saturdays from 9.00 to 13.00 EET. In addition there are monthly maintenance breaks in 2021 on the following dates: 23.1., 20.2., 10.4., 22.5., 12.6., 17.7., 14.8., 4.9., 16.10., 20.11. and 11.12. During this time it is not possible to fill in and send applications from 9.00 to 21.00 EET

How to apply to work for us

​We are continuously seeking new employees to join our team of experts, and professionals in many fields find a career path at Metsä Group. A positive mindset, suitable skills, experience and a willingness to reinvent yourself will take you far.

We publish all of our open positions on our website. You can also submit an open application if positions that are suitable for you are not currently available. We will contact you if a suitable job becomes available. An open application is valid for six months.

How do I apply for an open job?

Click the job title for more detailed information. Apply for the job by clicking the arrow symbol.

Fill in the application form as instructed. Once you have sent the application, you will receive an email acknowledging that we have received it. In the same email, there will be a user ID which you can use to access and edit your application before the deadline if you so wish. Your user ID and password will remain valid for a period of six months as of the latest change.

If you have previously submitted an application, you can use it as a template for a new application by logging in to our recruitment system. Please note that if you submit your application using your ID for the Metsä Group recruitment system, you will not be sent confirmation of receipt by email.

​We need professionals in a variety of fields. We are continuously seeking people with potential, the right attitude and the appropriate skills. Our thorough recruitment process only focuses on work-related skills and experience. We treat all applicants equally.

This is how our recruitment process works:

  1.  You decide to apply for a job with us and fill in the application form on our website.
  2.  We review the applications and reply to all applicants.
    The local HR department and supervisor review the applications. The processing time of applications varies depending on such things as the number of applicants.
    We will contact all applicants by email or telephone as soon as possible. You can expect to hear from us after the selection has been made, if not sooner.
  3. We invite those suitable for the job to attend the first interview.
    We first interview the candidates with the most suitable skills and work experience.
  4. We arrange aptitude tests, if necessary.
  5. We interview those selected to continue.
  6. We agree on the terms of employment and sign a work contract.
    As a socially responsible employer, we always provide our employment contracts and references in writing.
  7. We provide induction for the work.
    We always provide comprehensive induction training and work supervision. Naturally, we pay according to the job.
