USE OF PERSONAL DATA
You can visit Metsä Group’s Websites without telling us who you are, but there are times when we or our author-ised service providers need your Personal Data to process your order, provide our services or otherwise give you the information or response you are looking for.

LEGAL GROUND TO PROCESS PERSONAL DATA
Our legal ground for collecting and processing your Personal Data relates to the customer relationship or other corresponding relationship initiated between us and you when you visit our Websites, contact us or use or order our services, products, promotions or other contents online. Our data processing activities may take place in order to conclude or implement an agreement with you. Furthermore, processing may take place also for our legitimate interests that include e.g. managing and developing our relationship with you as well as keeping track of and improving our products, services, Websites or other contents. If required by law, we may request you to give us your consent before collecting certain Personal Data.
If you give us Personal Data about somebody else, such as your spouse or work colleague, we will assume that you have their permission to do so.

COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS
Our Websites use third party analytic service providers. From these parties, we receive similar data as we ourselves collect from your website visits and use it for similar purposes. Please see above the section “Non-identified data”. We are not intentionally trying to identify you behind this data.
Our Websites may use social media plugins, such as the “Like” button used by social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Even if such social media plugin buttons are displayed in some of our Websites, their content comes directly from the social media in question. If you visit our Websites whilst you are logged into a social network, your browser establishes a direct connection with the social network’s servers. The social media plugins on our Websites are subject to the privacy terms of the relevant social media sites. Unless you have given your explicit consent, we do not receive data in an identifiable form from such social media sites.
DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES
Metsä Group manages your Personal Data and regularly deletes and corrects unnecessary and outdated information when the business relationship or other communications between us and you are active. After the relationship becomes passive, we retain your personal information for pre-defined time periods based on the data controller’s and entire Metsä Group’s genuine needs and legal requirements. Personal information is deleted gradually in accordance with these data retention principles. OBJECTION OF DATA PROCESSING
If you have special grounds that relate to your particular personal situation, you may be entitled to object to pro-cessing of your Personal Data. Please notice that you have this right only to the extent we are processing your Personal Data on the legitimate interest basis, and there are no other legal grounds for us to use this information. When you request us to stop processing your Personal Data, you have to describe the particular personal situation that gives rise to your request.
You also have a right to object to direct marketing and any thereto related profiling.
ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA
You are entitled to obtain information about your Personal Data that we are processing as well as receive a copy of such Personal Data.
In some situations you may have the right to require Metsä Group to transfer a copy of your Personal Data directly to an external data controller. This right is applicable only with respect to such Personal Data you have provided for us yourself under a specific consent or for the purposes of implementing a contract with you.
RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION, ERASURE AND RESTRICTION

We are happy to discuss any questions you might have regarding processing of your Personal Data in order to try to find a solution that satisfies all parties. If you, however, consider that we have not followed the applicable data protection laws, and you cannot reach a solution together with us, you are always entitled to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.

Metsä Group Websites may contain links to other websites. Metsä Group is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other such sites.
DATA CONTROLLER AND HOW TO USE YOU RIGHTS
The data controller of your Personal Data is either Metsäliitto Cooperative, the parent company of the Metsä Group with registered address and head office at Revontulenpuisto 2, 02100 Espoo, Finland or the Metsä Group company whose Website is in question. You may find the identity of the data controller and its contact details by reviewing the terms and conditions of such product or service you order via our Website.
As a general rule, we do not charge you for using any of your rights. However, we may, at our sole discretion:
(a) refuse to fulfil; or
(b) charge a reasonable fee for fulfilling of several similar consecutive requests or requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Metsä Group is always entitled to decline a request on statutory grounds. We will inform you if we are unable to fulfil your request and provide you with the grounds for our decision.
