Our forest specialists are responsible for wood procurement, selling forest services and ensuring a good customer experience in their area. They actively contact forest owners and plan forest management work and harvesting operations for them, as well as advising forest owners on all matters related to forest asset management. Metsä Group's parent company is Metsäliitto Cooperative, so your customers are our owner-members.
A forest specialist's work in the office and in the forest is independent and diverse, and involves a lot of collaboration with forest owners and other forestry experts.
Expertise of regenerative forestry
For jobs in wood procurement and forest service, suitable forestry education, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and productively. A driver’s license is also essential for those working in forests.
