Metsä Group has chosen Infosys, a global leader in AI-first business consulting and technology services, as its partner to modernize its IT environment. The selection was made following a comprehensive tendering and negotiation process. The multi-year agreement supports the development of Metsä’s IT landscape towards a more efficient and unified setup that better meets future needs.
The agreement covers the development and delivery of IT services, including application management, cloud operations, workplace services, on-site IT/OT interface support, and service desk operations as well as the renewal of ways of working in all countries where Metsä operates. The aim of the collaboration is to improve service quality, increase efficiency, and support the digitalization and renewal of Metsä’s business.
Infosys is already an IT partner for Metsä Group, and the new agreement significantly expands and deepens the collaboration.
Under the agreement, Metsä and Infosys will jointly invest in the development of IT solutions based on artificial intelligence and automation, leveraging Infosys Topaz Fabric services suite to bring intelligent, agentic capabilities into Metsä's IT operations. The aim is to improve efficiency and quality, as well as accelerate the adoption of new solutions in the business.
The collaboration is based on a strong shared commitment to developing Metsä’s business and achieving results.
“This engagement marks a new chapter in Metsä's long-standing collaboration with Infosys, as we simplify and transform our IT sourcing model to meet the efficiency demands of today's business environment.
