At its annual meeting on 29 April 2026, the Representative Council of Metsäliitto Cooperative decided on the interest to be paid on owner-members’ capital. Based on the result for 2025, Metsäliitto Cooperative will pay interest of 5.0% on the owner-members’ statutory participation shares (in 2024: 5.5%), 4.5% on Metsä1 additional shares (5.0%), 1.0% on A additional shares (2.0%) and 0.75% on B additional shares (1.0%).

The Representative Council also decided on a surplus refund of EUR 0.30 per cubic metre of industrial roundwood received from members during the last four full financial periods. The reimbursement of surplus will be primarily paid as Metsä1 additional shares, but in money for the part corresponding to the tax withheld for each member.

The total profit distribution for the year will be approximately EUR 88 million (93). The refund of surplus based on wood trade accounts for roughly 17% of this.

The interest on members’ capital and the surplus refunds will be paid on 11 May 2026.
