Mill Manager appointments at Metsä Group

Janne Rantanen has been appointed VP, Mill Manager of the Äänekoski bioproduct mill as of 1 April 2024. Rantanen is currently VP, Mill Manager of the Rauma pulp mill.

Ari-Pekka Vanamo, the current VP, Mill Manager of the Äänekoski bioproduct mill, will move to the role of VP, HR Projects on 1 April 2024. From the beginning of 2025, Vanamo will take on the role of VP, Employment Relations. The current VP, Employment Relations, Jari Forss, will continue with development duties related to employment conditions and collective agreements. Ari-Pekka Vanamo and Jari Forss will report to Pertti Hietaniemi, Metsä Group’s SVP, HR.

Jaakko Ikonen has been appointed VP, Mill Manager of the Rauma pulp mill as of 1 April 2024. Ikonen is currently VP, Mill Manager of the Tako paperboard mill in Tampere. Rantanen and Ikonen will report to Mikko Nieminen, Metsä Fibre’s SVP, Pulp Production.

Timo Ahonen has been appointed VP, Mill Manager of the Tako paperboard mill as of 1 April 2024. Ahonen has previously worked as VP, Mill Manager of the Kemi paperboard mill.

Tomi Seppä has been appointed VP, Mill Manager of the Kemi paperboard mill as of 1 April 2024. Seppä previously worked as the paperboard mill’s Project Director and as VP, Mill Manager of the Kemi mills. Ahonen and Seppä will report to Harri Pihlajaniemi, Metsä Board’s SVP, Production and Technology.
