Metsä Fibre, part of Metsä Group, has once again achieved EcoVadis’ highest Platinum-level recognition for its long-term sustainability work. Since 2019, Metsä Fibre has consistently been among the top one percent of pulp, paper, and cardboard manufacturers evaluated by EcoVadis.

This achievement demonstrates Metsä Fibre’s continuous improvement and strong commitment to sustainability. In the EcoVadis assessment, the company received excellent scores in all four categories: environment, human rights and labor practices, business ethics, and sustainable procurement.

“At Metsä Fibre, we act responsibly and create well-being. For us, sustainability is not just a goal – it’s the foundation of everything we do. Our customers around the world also value our strong commitment to sustainability,” says Metsä Fibre’s CEO Ismo Nousiainen. “We highly appreciate receiving EcoVadis’ highest recognition now for the seventh time, and we use the feedback from the assessment to continuously improve our operations.”

EcoVadis, an organization that evaluates corporate responsibility, provides a platform for companies to assess their suppliers’ performance in global environmental and social responsibility. The assessment covers four areas: environment, human rights and labor practices, business ethics, and sustainable procurement.
