Light Fibre Material is made from wood-based pulp fibre. Depending on the end use requirements, its structure can be either dense or soft.
The material can be used, for example, in packaging, interior design and spatial solutions, as an insulation component, or as protective material. Its technical properties can be tuned, and it can be used in combination with other materials.
Light Fibre Material offers several technical and functional benefits:
- formability: can be shaped into complex and visually impressive structures
- visual appeal: suitable for both large surfaces and detailed solutions
- acoustic properties: absorbs sound effectively
- comfort: brings softness and comfort to end products
The material can be refined with a variety of techniques that affect, for example, surface structure and contrasts. We are developing the product to be fully bio-based and recyclable.
Potential applications of the fibre material
Promising future uses include:
- packaging solutions
