The District Court of Länsi-Uusimaa has in its ruling issued on 11 January 2023 rejected the bankruptcy application filed in November 2022 against Metsä Fibre Oy by Virtor Oy, a supplier in Metsä Fibre's Kemi bioproduct mill project.
The District Court has deemed the bankruptcy application so clearly unfounded that there have been special grounds to oblige jointly and severally both Virtor Oy and Virtor Oy’s Managing Director personally to compensate legal costs of Metsä Fibre.
