Massive wall panel

Kerto LVL massive wall, based on the use of Kerto LVL Q-panels and L-panels, offers a high-performance solution for new builds, renovations, and vertical extensions. Its efficient design minimizes material use, making it suitable for structural, non-structural, and bracing applications in both exterior and interior walls. The slim profile maximizes floor area in space-limited areas and provides versatility in modular construction, whether used as room dividers or prefabricated modules.

Kerto LVL massive wall has a notable load-bearing capacity and resistance, making it suitable for applications involving structural loads from environmental factors like wind, snow, and ice. Interior walls as thin as 39 mm can handle concentrated cantilever loads, such as those from wall-mounted kitchen units. The high strength and stiffness values of Kerto LVL enable building bracing with wall panels as thin as 45 mm. In multi-storey construction, vertical panels up to 2.5 x 13 meters facilitate efficient assembly across several floors, including buildings with large window openings.

Kerto LVL Q- and L-panels can be installed using nails, screws, or staples, with options for both visible and concealed fastening. The practical panel sizes, such as half-lap panels in 600 x 2500 mm or 1250 x 6000 mm formats, facilitate quick and efficient wall installations, even in renovation projects. Panels with half-lap edges allow for single-row fastening, enhancing installation speed and minimizing material usage. Customers benefit from project-specific panel dimensions, with lengths ranging from 2 to 25 meters and widths from 900 to 2500 mm. Thickness ranges from 21 to 75 mm. Additionally, Kerto LVL panels are airtight, eliminating the need for an additional vapor barrier.

Benefits of Kerto LVL in Wall Construction

  • Kerto LVL offers up to 30% reduced wood consumption compared to solid timber solutions, making it suitable for both multi-storey buildings and single-family houses.
  • Kerto LVL speeds up the building process, allowing dormer construction to be 25% faster with fewer steps than traditional timber frames.
  • Thinner wall constructions allow for approximately 5.4 square metres more living space per floor in a multi-storey building with a floor area of 20 by 16 metres when using Kerto LVL.
  • Thin 39 mm interior walls can support heavy loads like kitchen cabinets.
  • The fire resistance rating of F30 can be achieved.
  • Kerto LVL panels are airtight, eliminating the need for an additional vapour barrier.
  • 1.8 m panels are available up to 25 m long, and 2.5 m panels up to 20 m, providing flexibility for diverse applications.
The slim Kerto LVL wall excels in structural, non-structural, and bracing applications for exterior and interior walls.

You can build standalone bracing walls with Kerto LVL panels as thin as 45 mm. The exceptional efficiency of  Kerto LVL is not only evident in wall construction, but also in floor and roof applications.
