Engineered Wood Product Design Seminar, Edinburgh

Published: 25/09/2017 00:00

Metsä Wood, in association with the Scottish Regional Group of the Institution of Structural Engineers, is holding an informative seminar on Engineered Wood Product Design for both structural and civil engineers. Metsä Wood and other timber engineering specialists will focus on timber design to Eurocode 5, connection details and practical design examples.

Specialist speakers attending the event include Peter Wilson from Timber Design Initiatives, Stefano Muscoloni from Rothoblaas, and Frank Werling, Head of Technical, Engineering and Design at Metsä Wood.

The afternoon seminar will be based at the ECCI (Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation) on 14th November.

The seminar follows on from the success of a similar seminar in London in June, where guests included Andrew Lawrence, Arup, and Julian Marcroft, Head Of Engineering at Mitek.

Mr. Werling commented, "The ECCI building is a great venue to hold this upcoming seminar. Not only is it in an excellent location, but also the roof of the building uses our Kerto® LVL and Kerto®-RIPA, so we are very excited to be there."
