All you really need to know is the property identifier of your forest estate and have an idea of what you want from your forest. Our forest specialists can propose different alternatives, and you can choose the most suitable one for you and your goals. You will receive an offer from them, which includes the wood sale and, if you wish, forest management work. 

The stages of wood trade

The stages of wood trade

    Find your forest’s property identifier and consider what you want from your forest.

  2. 2.

    Contact your local forest specialist in your forest’s municipality.

  3. 3.

    Agree a time for the forest specialist to visit your estate.

  4. 4.

    The forest specialist will send you a wood trade offer, as well as an offer for relevant management work and felling should you be interested in them.

  5. 5.

    After you approve the offer, the wood trade agreement can be concluded.

    Any investment in Metsä1 additional shares is also agreed in this connection.

  6. 6.

    Harvesting takes place within two to three years of the conclusion of the agreement.

  7. 7.

    We will send you a measurement certificate concerning the final volume of wood.

    You will receive the money for the sale around one month after the arrival of the measurement certificate.
