Do you know the value of the trees in your forest?

You can get a quick appraisal of the felling value of the trees in your forest estate by entering its property identifier in the calculator below. The felling value of the trees means the sales value you would get from the trees if all of them were felled.

The quick appraisal is based on the Finnish Forest Centre’s forest resource data, which includes comprehensive information about the volume and quality of the trees. The appraisal is based on the statistical prices of timber recorded by the Natural Resources Institute Finland with a three-year moving average. Price data is updated four times a year.

If you are buying or selling a forest estate, we recommend that you get an estate appraisal, verified on-site and carried out by a forest professional. The appraisal should take into account the value of the forest's soil, the value of seedling stands and the future value of growing trees.
