The origin of our raw material is important to us. Our target is that 100% of our raw materials are traceable by 2030. Our main raw material, wood, is already 100% traceable. Traceability information helps to target assessments and audits on potential risk suppliers.
Sustainable supply chain
At Metsä Tissue we are committed to sustainability in our supply chain. According to our target, all of our suppliers have signed our Supplier Code of Conduct by 2030. In addition, we use our own and third-party risk analysis and supplier evaluations to ensure that our suppliers to act in accordance with our environmental, social and economic requirements. These evaluations include supplier background checks, assessments and, if necessary, an on-site audit. In addition, we collaborate with our suppliers to improve sustainability. We have sustainability targets with our most important suppliers.
