Our commitments and policies

At Metsä Tissue, we are committed to sustainability and ethical practices in all aspects of our business. Our approach to sustainability is guided by our core values and principles, ensuring that we operate responsibly and transparently. Metsä Tissue adheres to the Code of Conduct and the Supplier Code of Conduct, as defined by its parent company, Metsä Group.

Our commitments

At Metsä Tissue, we are committed to promoting sustainable development and minimising our environmental impact. We are committed to the UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which encompass ten principles under four main categories: Human Rights, Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.

Our initiatives include ensuring that all wood raw materials come from sustainably managed forests, reducing our carbon footprint through renewable energy and energy efficiency actions, increasing the use of recycled plastics in packaging, and minimising waste. We also work to reduce water consumption and wastewater is treated efficiently. At the same time, we are committed to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in our workplace.

Code of Conduct

Metsä Tissue follows Metsä Group’s Code of Conduct, which outlines the ethical standards and principles that guide our business operations, applying to all employees, suppliers, and partners.

The Code of Conduct defines the core ethical principles that every Metsä Group employee must follow.

In addition to our own personnel, we also encourage our external stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the principles and, when necessary, to raise concerns about shortcomings in our operations.
