In line with its growth strategy and increasing focus on providing high quality food preparation and packaging papers to global markets, Metsä Tissue’s greaseproof paper business is stepping out from the Finnish and the Baltics consumer markets with its SAGA consumer brand products and enters into a licensing agreement with Finnish Fredman Group Oy.
The licensing agreement enters into force October 1st 2025, and with it Fredman will be responsible for selling, marketing and distributing SAGA consumer products in Finland and in the Baltics. Metsä Tissue’s greaseproof paper business continues to produce and supply base papers to Fredman Group from the Mänttä mill.
“With this licensing agreement we will deepen our long-term partnership with Fredman’s team also in the future. Fredman Group has converted our top-quality products up to this point, so this agreement with them is a very natural step for us. The representation of the SAGA consumer brand strengthens Fredman’s strategic goal to grow in fiber-based kitchen products, such as coffee filters and baking papers.
