Fire at the Düren mill on 10 January 2020

A fire broke out late Friday evening 10 January 2020 at PM5 at Metsä Tissue’s Düren mill in Germany. The fire was caused by a short cut at a cable tray at the bottom floor.

The mill’s personnel extinguished the fire before the fire department arrived at the mill. The fire caused no injuries.

Production at the PM5 has been shut down until further notice.
