Finnjoist FP+ is a factory-pre-insulated I-joist designed to help timber frame manufacturers build faster, work more efficiently and meet key fire and acoustic performance requirements.

Finnjoist FP+ is a smarter way to manufacture because the insulation is built in at the factory, so you no longer need to store, measure, cut and fit it separately, which means fewer process steps, less handling and a cleaner, more consistent production flow; full-length joists arrive ready to cut to your required dimension.

It is also built for performance: it meets and exceeds the 30-minute REI fire rating, is included in the Structural Timber Association's PP4 design guide, and is the only STA-approved solution that lets I-joists under 58 mm wide meet PP4 requirements, so standard layouts can stay as they are without costly redesign or joist upgrades. Acoustically, it achieves 43 dB on intermediate floors without extra insulation between the joists, beating the 40 dB standard for England and Wales and meeting Scotland's 43 dB requirement.
