We are constantly developing new ways to minimize our plastic use. Among other things, all black dispensers are made of recycled plastic. And that goes for the black details on the white dispensers and the plastic plugs in the system rolls as well.

The smart packaging Handy Pack was launched on the market. An easier way to carry our handtowels. At the same time, we minimized the packaging size and reduced packaging material need and transportation needs.

Katrin EasyFlush assortment was launched to dissolve very quickly so helps to maintain hygiene on trains, aeroplanes, ships, and other places where the plumbing requires fast dissolving paper.
Katrin EasyFlush has that little bit extra when it comes to gentle drying, absorbency and strength. Developed to fit extra well in vacuum toilets and closed drainage systems.
Katrin embraced the ”Less is More” concept, focusing on solutions that maximized performance while minimizing resource utilization. "Less is more" was, and still is, the Katrin ethos: it is the standard of quality and environmental protection which drives the design of our products. This includes comprehensively designed generations of functional, robust Katrin dispensers with matching towels and toilet paper.

The first Katrin System products were launched – Katrin Ultimatic. One sheet was presented at a time for more hygienic usage. Katrin Systems defined less consumption in a more hygienic solution.
Today our system products serve millions of visitors in public toilets around Europe, with many sheets per roll and a high absorbency, quality paper. Katrin Systems make sure that the hands are good for you and for the environment.
Designed with innovative functions and to create a uniform look in the washroom. Elegant in design, fine-tuned in colour and innovative function are some expressions that were present when our first dispenser range was released. The Sinus line was available in white or light grey/smoke colour. Everything for the best customer experience.
Our Katrin brand was launched as one of the first professional tissue brands in Europe. The name “Katrin” stems from Katrinefors the Swedish Metsä Tissue mill, which was named after the founder's wife, Anna Catarina Fors. Katrin’s renowned products are now produced in mills around Europe.
The Mariestad mill, Katrinefors was established in 1765. Back then, paper was made from textile scraps. At the end of the 19th century, matchbox labels were made in blue straw paper and constituted 90 percent of the entire production.
In 1915, the sulphite factory was completed and during the following decades many types of paper based products were produced e.g. corrugated cardboard, industrial paper and tissue paper.
