Management changes in the Muoto project

Changes are taking place in the management of the Muoto project run by Metsä Group’s innovation company Metsä Spring. Project Director Jarkko Tuominen will be leaving Metsä Group. However, he will continue at the helm of the Muoto project until a successor has been appointed and familiarised with the duties. A successor is being sought both within and outside Metsä Group (kindly see ‘Vice President, Projects’ under https://www.metsagroup.com/careers/work-with-us/open-jobs/).

Tuominen has had a long career at Metsä Group: He has led the Muoto project since 2020. Before that, he worked at Metsä Board, which he joined in 2012.

Niklas von Weymarn, CEO of Metsä Spring, thanks Tuominen for his significant contribution to the development of Muoto products.

“Jarkko joined Metsä Spring in 2020, when our Muoto product was just a preliminary idea on his desk. It’s been great to follow how Jarkko has led the project from that point to where we now stand. In five years, we’ve made progress that usually takes much longer. The Metsä Spring employees working on our Muoto project have evolved into a diverse and very capable team. We’re in a good position to continue towards the next stages of the project.”
