HR MANAGER

Job description
We are looking for an HR Manager to Metsä Wood’s new birch plywood mill. The position will be located in Pärnu, Estonia.  

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for local HR matters such as labor & employment issues, planning and implementing training and development initiatives

  • Support line managers in their people management responsibilities such as implementing approved resourcing plans and recruitment processes, employment related matters, performance management and compensation and benefits issues

  • Proactive support to productivity improvement and world-class occupational safety

  • Coordinate the implementation of organizational development actions and follow up and develop personnel wellbeing

  • Plan and promote positive Metsä Group Employer Brand

Prerequisites

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • B.Sc. degree or higher level of education. 

  • Knowledge of Estonian labor law.

  • Personal integrity and high ethical standards. Autonomy, discipline, self-leading, continuous improvement mind-set.

  • Native Estonian and fluent in English. Russian is an advantage.

  • Good communication, presentation and analytical skills.

  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Previous experience in using SAP or other ERP or HR systems is preferred.
