Supplier Code of Conduct

We have defined working methods and prepared instructions for environmental management, personnel policy, equality and purchasing.

Metsä Group’s Supplier Code of Conduct provides common ethical guidance, which we expect all our suppliers to commit to. This Supplier Code of Conduct is based upon internationally recognised guidelines such as the United Nations Global Compact and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions.

Our aim is to ensure that we work with suppliers that are committed to sustainability and safe working practices. In addition, we expect all suppliers to have high standards of business ethics and integrity. Our Supplier Code of Conduct prohibits the use of forced, or child labour, emphasises the respect for human rights as well as actions against corruption and bribery. By the end of 2022, 98% of our total spend on purchases was covered by the Metsä Group Supplier Code of Conduct.
