Introduction to Metsä Group Purchasing 

Metsä Group's Purchasing provides its services for the Group companies Metsä Tissue, Metsä Board, Metsä Fibre and Metsä Wood as well as Metsäliitto Cooperative's Metsä Forest. 

Group Purchasing is organised into 17 main categories. These purchases include fiber, chemicals and other materials, products, machines and equipment as well as services needed in Metsä Group businesses. Purchasing wood raw material is the responsibility of Metsä Forest and is thus excluded from the scope of Group Purchasing.

The total spend in external purchases is over EUR 2 billion annually. The function is headed by Metsä Group CPO Jarmo Toikka.
