I preferred the work in a leading timber engineering company instead of an architect’s studio so in 1997 I joined Metsä Wood in Aichach, Germany. Over the years my tasks have been in marketing communications, technical sales of building systems, development of a brand concept for houses to managing press relations.
I always was and still am fascinated from the material we work with! I personally find wood sympathetic and am convinced it very sustainable belongs to the “good” things. I am lucky to work in a unit, where so many exciting projects in timber engineering have been or are being realised making my architect’s heart beating faster and making me proud to be a part of it. I also value my friendly working environment.
Since I have been convinced to work for building with wood for the past 15 years, I suppose it will be my future task, too, or a passion, to convince more investors and builders to use timber in residential buildings and for modern architecture to save the environment for the future.
